Community Impact

Bolingbrook Campus

Reaching Our Neighbors Here

Community Impact provides the people of the Bolingbrook Campus with opportunities to love our neighbors. We are focused on three opportunity areas:

In partnership with Loaves & Fishes Community Services, we have a Food Pantry at our Bolingbrook Campus which serves over 100 families per week! Help end hunger and transform lives here in Bolingbrook! Volunteer hours are Wed 3-6:30p with various shifts available. Come out and experience the JOY that comes from helping others! Some of the opportunities include guest greeting, registration, parking lot directions, unloading/loading food and prayer team. There's lots of work to be done so join in and volunteer on Wednesdays to serve on The Compass Church Food Pantry team.

The Bolingbrook Christian Health Center is a part of both the National and the Illinois Association of Free and Charitable Clinics (IAFCC) We've been here for well over 15 years, and currently serve about 1200 active patients. Our all-volunteer patient-care staff consist of nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, physicians, interpreters, lab techs, a pharmacy tech, a physical therapist and a PT Assistant, and many more "behind the scenes" administrative, data collection, and support folks. Each of our staff serves our patients and their family in Jesus's Name.

We provide a clinical site for nursing and pharmacy students (from Lewis University and Midwestern University) each school semester. In addition, we mentor dozens of pre-health sciences students from Wheaton College.

For more information on hours and other resources, go to bolingbrookchristianhealthcenter.com.

Our Bolingbrook Campus Clothing Closet seeks to support our community by providing clothing, ranging from nice casual to professional, for men and women who are in need of new and gently used clothes. This is designed for people in the Bolingbrook, Romeoville, and Woodridge communities who need clothing for employment interviews or just need clothes to wear. Guests are allowed five pieces per person since many are in need. Volunteers are needed to help guests and to organize clothes during open hours.

Open Wednesdays from 4-6p.

WE DO ACCEPT DONATIONS of new and gently used clothes for men, women, boys, and girls ages 10 and over. Clothes must be washed and folded and brought in boxes or hangers. Please, avoid bringing clothes in trash bags or shopping bags.

Feel free to call the church office at 630.739.2824 or to send an email to clothingcloset@thecompass.net if you have any questions.
