Spreading the hope of the Gospel here, near and far

It is our resolve to invest a greater percentage of our time, our lives, our knowledge and our resources to obey the Great Commission of Jesus Christ. We are determined to use our influence as a local church to ensure that the gospel is communicated across people groups, to ensure that disciples are made and to ensure that His worldwide Kingdom is advanced to the global glory of God.

Short-Term Mission Team Updates

This summer eight teams were sent out to work with our partners on various projects. We are excited to report back to you about these trips!

Our team joined our partners in Belgium for “Serve the Church,” a city-wide serving initiative. They participated in work projects and a Vacation Bible School.

Two teams served in New Orleans. They served alongside an inner-city church in running a camp for children in their neighborhood. They also had the opportunity to serve a local missionary family with some home repair.

The team came alongside our church-planting partners to train them in children’s ministry. Over the following days, they worked collaboratively to run VBS programs at six church plants.

This team worked alongside KBC Ministries to serve in their Elder Care Ministry. Over the week they visited 65 elderly people in the community, sharing the love of Christ with each one. At the end of the week, they were able to throw a party to have fellowship with those they had visited.

51 students and adult leaders attended summer mission opportunities in Pittsburgh, Salt Lake City and New Mexico.  God was at work in wonderful ways as we served the people in these communities.  Our teams painted and cleaned buildings, helped repair a well, cleared trails, served meals to homeless people, taught students through Vacation Bible School, as well as played with and ministered to children in challenged neighborhoods.  Our teams bonded and grew in their faith as they watched how God answered prayers as they did the footwork. Some children accepted Christ, one of our students was baptized upon the return and parents observed that their students “haven’t been the same since!”  We praise God for the work He is doing in the lives of our students, leaders and those we were able to serve.

Thank you to those who went and were part of the great work that God was doing this summer! Thank you also to all those that supported these teams!
